Norway and Estonia exchange expertise on building sustainable economies

As head of the construction roadmap for Estonia's Rohetiiger (Green Tiger), I joined their delegation to Oslo this week.

Norway and Estonia exchange expertise on building sustainable economies

Norway has had a leading role globally in the green transition so it was an honour to be hosted by the Oslo Region Alliance and BJØRK Innovation, which brought us together with leading pioneers in sustainability.

Across Europe, it can sometimes feel like our green goals are a fjord away. That’s exactly why we need to take a big green tiger leap across - and Norwegian expertise is so valuable!

Green Tiger represents more than 80 Estonian companies committed to joint and coordinated action to support climate goals. This year we'll unveil our roadmap towards a balanced and sustainable economy by 2040.

Our packed programme in Oslo - from the Institute for Energy Technology to City Hall - was incredibly valuable for better understanding how the public and private sector in Norway are making progress on their goals.

I also had a chance to meet with Håkon Hauan from EPD-Norway to discuss the future of Environmental Product Declarations. Håkon has had such a big role in the growing EPD community globally.

So I want to say a huge thank you to all the Norwegian experts who gave us their time, as well as Estonian Ambassador Piia Mathisen, Andres Ideon, and the Estonian Embassy for supporting the visit too and hosting a great reception.
